The Champion Power Equipment 18001 Winch Kit is a powerful and reliable tool for your truck, SUV, or work vehicle. Its 8,000lb rated pull and convenient mountable controller means you'll be prepared for work, play, or emergencies.

8,000-Pound Rated Pull

The 18001 Winch Kit has a rated pull of up to 8,000 pounds, suitable for intermittent use. The 5/16" x 95' galvanized aircraft cable is specially designed for reliability under load.

Roller Fairlead with Free Spooling Clutch

The roller fairlead acts to guide the wire rope onto the drum and minimizes damage to the wire rope from abrasion on the winch mount or bumper. The free spooling clutch allows the operator to manually disengage ("Out") the spooling drum from the gear train, letting the cable unspool freely. Engaging the clutch ("In") locks the winch into the gear system. These two systems help prevent wear and unnecessary strain on the cable, as well as protecting your vehicle.

Contactor Switch

The 18001 Winch Kit features a Quick Connect Remote Control for powering the rope in or out of your winch drum. The remote control is easily installed and handheld, making it convenient to use with your truck, or SUV.

Standard Bolt Pattern for Easy Installation

This Champion Power Equipment 8,000lb winch is designed with a bolt pattern that is standard in this class of winch. Many winch mounting kits are available that utilize this bolt pattern, so you're sure to find the mounting kit that's right for your application.

Pre-Lubricated Assembly

All moving parts within the 18001 winch have been lubricated using high temperature lithium grease at the factory. No internal lubrication is required. You can lubricate the cable assembly periodically using a light penetrating oil as needed.

this winch has an integrated frame that holds the entire unit together AND it comes with a 1/4in thick mounting plate, d-shackle, snatch block and a steel roller fair lead. its perfect for its price.

i bought this unit from the local tractor supply co (formerly central tractor) after returning a similar unit (Superwinch 1585200D) from the local northern tool and equip. the superwinch was a POS and came with no accessories. its main problem was that it would bind on itself because it lacked an integrated frame. it had 2 threaded rods connecting the two halves of the unit, and simply picking up the device it would twist its self such that the mounting points for each side were off by 5-10 degrees and no longer on the same flat plane. i returned it after several hours trying to get it to mount flat and true with no luck.

A great buy! I installed this unit on my car hauling trailer. Its been great so far. Pulls with ease. Easily moves full size pick up trucks with flat or no tires on them. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a good quality winch for heavy jobs, who is also looking for a great value on price. I am very satisfied with this product so far. (5 months and about 20 vehicles loaded) as of now.

I was so excited to get this winch & very happy when it arrived. I wanted a winch that I could pull small vehicles with to my trailer. I noticed the first time I used it that it used much more battery source than it should. The second time I used it, same problem. it pulled the vehicle about 10 feet before the winch upper housing started to smoke. This wench is a peice of junk! It only had 1 review on it when I purchused it. Don'y buy one unless it has several reviews so that you know what you are getting.
